At River City Church, we are committed to sharing the gospel with the next generation. With dozens of children at our church, we have a growing ministry and lots of opportunities to equip your family to teach your children about Jesus.
The most important spiritual influence on children is not their Sunday School teacher; it is actually their own parents. This is why kids are welcome throughout our worship service. Of course, not all children can sit through an entire service, which is why we provide childcare for infants and toddlers in our nursery care. See below for details on our nursery:
Each Sunday from 9:30am – 10:15am we offer great Sunday School classes for children of all ages. Children ages 3-5(ish) meet in a classroom together, while children 6-10(ish) meet in their own room. Both classes are studying the Gospel Project, which is a curriculum that teaches children the entire story of the Bible, and how each story ultimately points us to Jesus.
As a regular feature of our Children’s Sunday School Classes, our children also learn new songs every month or so, and perform their songs during our Sunday Morning Worship Service. This is a great way to train children to praise God, and is a great reminder to our congregation to have faith “like a child.”
During both Sunday School and the Sunday Morning Worship Service, we have a safe, clean nursery room that is always staffed by at least 2 adults. Parents must sign their children in, and the same parent must pick them up. We try to provide nursery care for most of our events, as well.
Throughout the year, we offer several great opportunities for families to enjoy their time together. We have family festivals, game nights, Check the Upcoming Events page for more details about our special events!
Each June, our congregation puts together and incredible week of nightly programs for kids! Kids get dinner, fun songs and games, skits, Bible lessons, crafts, and moreā€”all in a safe and family-friendly environment.
